Mission Statement

"The Helping Hands Foundation is dedicated to providing reconstructive surgery of the upper and lower extremity to individuals, both domestic and abroad, who would otherwise be unable to receive treatment."

Helping Hands Foundation

Our cases predominantly arise from developing countries or areas throughout the world with insufficient expertise in the management of complex upper and lower extremity conditions.

The Helping Hands Foundation provides financial support to allow selected patients to travel to and from the Annapolis area to receive treatment of their condition.  Our surgeons and volunteers donate their time and services, while creating a community of social and financial support for the patient & family during their entire stay as the patient undergoes surgery and recovers.  We arrange and provide accommodations for the patient and family members during the perioperative period.  Helping Hands also sponsors instructional surgical trips to the developing world to help train local surgeons in these communities modern techniques that will allow them to improve patient care.
