Hosting a child and a parent for a surgery stay can be one of the most rewarding experiences for both the host family and the patient's family. Helping Hands provides surgeries to 1-2 patients each year targeting the countries of Bolivia and Romania. Host families provide accommodations including a room to sleep, meals and transportation for up to 6 weeks. Helping Hands Foundation can provide a stipend to support costs incurred while hosting the patient. Visiting families experience American life through emersion. Our families have developed strong ties with the patient guests and have enjoyed the experience of cultural exchange.
